Poem for those who don't feel they're good enough
Ill stare in the mirror
Watching as my own vanity consumes my every look.
Just a blot more,
A little blush there.
I want to be pretty.
Want to reassure that I'm still me.
That my body hasn't floated to outer space with my confidence
I'll skip this one meal today.
It won't hurt.
Skinnier girls look better.
I only want to look better.
Pretty.
He'll surely notice if I wear my curls like this.
A compliment is sure to come.
I know this takes a while.
"Just give me one more minute!"
It takes a lot to be pretty.
Last stroke with the brush . . .
Why is the mirror so against me?
Uglier than what started off being?
Don't worry I'll fix it with a few more tweaks at my lips . . .
Surgery will help one day. . .
I'll sure be pretty then.
I think I'm done.
Wait let me just
Okay, there.
"You're pretty"
