I want to be a poet - Award Winning Poem

I want to be a poet,

Write words that people have never even heard of,

Grace the world with ideas that do not come to mind.

Question the art of love and happiness,

Push the notion of pain and heartache.

Lie in bed and think of metaphors that just . . don’t make sense.

Think deep thoughts that boggle the poetic rules,

Write each word and watch them come to life on paper.

And then recite them to people

Who will never understand. . .
